Oscar
Valsecchi1918, 2014
First the material: solid wood and soft leather, at the same time. Then the inspiration: on one hand the desk pad which always land on the surface of desks to protect it, on the other hand the typical architects' work tables ("Oscar N.", hence the name of the desk, was one of them!) always cluttered with papers and pencils.
So came "Oscar", this desk, which combines intentionally a substrate made in leather, with soft curves divided into three different sizes, to a minimal wooden structure: informal pockets for storing drawings, notes, journals or, for the less traditionalists, their tablet.
