Giorgio Bonaguro is a designer and creative director working between Milan and Rio de Janeiro. Trained as a mechanical engineer before completing a double master's in Industrial and Interior Design in Milan, he began his career working alongside established Italian designers before founding his own studio.

His work is rooted in a material-driven approach: starting from a material's raw, untamed qualities — weight, texture, cultural history — and translating them into essential, disciplined form. The result sits deliberately between rigor and rawness, structure and sculptural gesture.

His practice moves across collectible design and industrial production, designing limited editions for international galleries and collaborating with companies across Europe, Brazil and the US. Central to his work is a dialogue between Italian material culture and Brazilian craftsmanship — two traditions he moves between not as inspiration, but as daily practice.

This hands-on process has taken his work to major international design fairs and into institutional and museum spaces.
