Marble Stories

Limited Edition, 2018

On the occasion of Fuorisalone 2018, Italian-Brazilian designers Giorgio Bonaguro, Gustavo Martini and Ronald Sasson decided to develop a common exhibition project in which their styles interact to tell different stories around a single precious material: marble.

The projects have been produced by Marimar and Savoia Marmi, two important realities in stone processing, coordinated by AS.MA.VE. (Consorzio Marmisti Veronesi), an association representing marble companies in Verona district.

​

Athos is a family of side tables and it is a tribute to the work of Athos Bulcao, a Brazilian painter and sculptor. Through his "azulejos" (tiles) he has given color and made even more unique many architectural projects. The tables are a "three-dimensional" interpretation of the azulejos.

 

They are made using white Carrara marble for the base, and the Azul Macaubas granite, a Brazilian stone, for the top, to create, through the union of materials, an ideal link between the two countries.
