Marble Stories

Limited Edition, 2018

On the occasion of Fuorisalone 2018, Italian-Brazilian designers Giorgio Bonaguro, Gustavo Martini and Ronald Sasson decided to develop a common exhibition project in which their styles interact to tell different stories around a single precious material: marble.

The projects have been produced by Marimar and Savoia Marmi, two important realities in stone processing, coordinated by AS.MA.VE. (Consorzio Marmisti Veronesi), an association representing marble companies in Verona district.

Athos is a family of side tables and it is a tribute to the work of Athos Bulcao, a Brazilian painter and sculptor. Through his "azulejos" (tiles) he has given color and made even more unique many architectural projects. The tables are a "three-dimensional" interpretation of the azulejos.

They are made using white Carrara marble for the base, and the Azul Macaubas granite, a Brazilian stone, for the top, to create, through the union of materials, an ideal link between the two countries.
