Tachi
Carpanesehome, 2026
The Tachi collection is defined by organic forms and balanced proportions, born from the dialogue between memory and contemporary gesture. Inspired by late-1970s Italian design archetypes, the project takes its name from the Japanese tachi sword — long, curved, and symbolic of dynamism, precision, and controlled strength.
These qualities shape the collection’s formal language: the continuous curve of the top surface, the sense of movement and balance, and the interplay between solidity and lightness. The reference appears again in the metal undershelf, a continuous element that cuts through the structure like a suspended blade.
Composed of two desks and a console, the Tachi collection reinterprets these typologies as refined architectural objects — designed not only for function, but also as spaces for concentration, movement, and interaction with the surrounding environment.
