Segno

Morfosi, 2021

ségno m. n. [lat. sĭgnum “visible or sensible sign of something; military sign; carved or painted image; star », perhaps akin to secare « cut, engrave »].

A collection that was born from the desire to recover the marble processing waste (offcuts): small portions of slabs with different thickness, otherwise unused, now become an elegant and precious base for small objects. Each element is characterized by a strong graphic sign, engraved or carved into the stone, which acts as a guide to insert the borosilicate glass element. The glass parts, with different diameters and heights, become a vase for flowers or plants, a fruit bowl or a tray.
